Remit

The remit of the FRAE Fife REP Executive includes:

  • Clearly setting out the long-term vision, aims, strategic objectives and work programme/Regeneration Outcome Agreement of FRAE Fife - REP.
  • Development, co-ordination and implementation of strategies, policies, guidelines and protocols.
  • Active involvement and participation in the Community Planning process.
  • Securing funding necessary to implement the Regeneration Outcome Agreement for 2005-2008.
  • Development of effective communication systems that facilitates timely and accurate dissemination of information.
  • Supporting and facilitating partnership working to address the mainstreaming challenge.
  • Responsibility of the management of resources.
  • Responsibility of each member of the Executive to facilitate a two-way dialogue and information exchange between the Executive and their respective organisations.

Membership

Membership of the Executive is 15, split between agency and community representation. Composition reflects the Fife Community Planning partners and consists of:

8 members elected from the FRAE Fife - REP Forum of BME community groups and one representative from each of the following:

- Fife Constabulary

- Scottish Enterprise Fife

- CVS (Council for Voluntary Services) Fife

- Fife Council, Community Services

- Fife Council, Policy & Organisational Development Service

- NHS Fife

- CARF (Citizens Advice and Rights Fife)

The 8 elected members from the body of the FRAE Fife - REP Forum were elected at the first full Forum meeting. Nominations for an elected place were accepted from any Forum member. The Chairperson of the FRAE Fife - REP is a BME community group member

The Executive, with 15 members, will ensure a more focussed effective body capable of making decisions.
