The role of the Legal Complainant Officer is to provide information and timely advice to ethnic minority communities and individuals on their rights under the Race Relation Act 1976 (Amendment Act 2000) in relation to racial discrimination on employment and non employment issues by:

  • preparing client/witness statements
  • submitting questionnaires and
  • providing representation at tribunals and Sheriff Courts.

Confidentiality is maintained at all times

Networking with voluntary groups, CVS Fife, Fife Community Interpreting Service, FRAE FIFE, Ethnic Minority Employment & Training Network, Community Safety Partnership and statutory agencies such as Fife Council, Fife Health Board, Education, Housing, Social Work etc is also undertaken.
