Aim: to improve access to education, training and employment opportunities for ethnic minority people in Fife through partnership working

Objectives:

To -

  • influence and advice upon policy and practice in order to achieve the EMET Network’s aim through mainstreaming race equality and positive action.
  • identify gaps in provision and to develop and promote collaborative and innovative approaches with partners
  • share, promote and review good racial equality practices within the partnership
  • assist partners to effectively develop and implement race equality plans and contribute to Community Planning targets.

EMET Network currently has 60 organisations consisting of representatives from Statutory, Voluntary, Private sectors and Ethnic Minority community groups. Key agencies are Fife Council, Scottish Enterprise Fife, Careers Scotland, Jobcentre Plus, Fife Constabulary and FRAE Fife.
