This is a partnership project being delivered through Fife’s Ethnic Minority Employment and Training (EMET) Network with financial support from Scottish Enterprise Fife and Empower Scotland European Social Fund Equal Partnership.

The Equal in Fife project aims to improve access to employment, training and education for ethnic minority communities in Fife (July 2005- June 2007) and address race inequalities in the labour market by:

  • Linking ethnic minorities to work through work placements, positive action training programmes and addressing barriers
  • Raising awareness among ethnic minorities about the mainstream training programmes through community outreach work
  • Working with employers to raise cultural awareness and promote good race equality practice.

We work with Ethnic minority residents, Refugees, new Migrants, International students

Equal in Fife can help you access mainstream training and employment opportunities, gain work experience, provide you with an individual action plan and on going support, match you to employers and contribute to childcare and travel expenses while you are attending training and work placement.
