EQUALITIES, DIVERSITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS TRAINING

FRAE Fife has been successful in securing funding from the EHRC to deliver training to 200 staff from statutory organisations, 20 voluntary sector staff , and 20 community groups

Aim
The training will explore the different strands of equality and aim to produce a better understanding and awareness of discrimination in an attempt to continue to promote anti-discriminatory practices within communities, organisations and in society as a whole.

Why is this training different?
It is different because of the involvement of representatives from the six equalities strands , public sector and voluntary organisations who contributed to the production of the training pack which makes it unique and inclusive.

Why we do it?
To enable participants to explore feelings of exclusion by looking at what happens when people are discriminated against.

The training team have developed a training pack that covers all the six strands. (i.e. Race , Sexuality, Religion and Belief, Age, Gender and Disability)

Target audience
Public Sector / Voluntary Sector / Community Groups / Individuals

FRAE Fife is currently delivering Equality, Diversity and Human Right training for Ethnic Minority Community groups and hopefully to service providers starting in January 2009.
