FRAE Fife Health Project

FRAE Fife is currently working with the Keep Well Project to provide outreach health screening at the Gypsy Travellers sites in Fife as well as at multicultural events. Over 200 people accessed health information and over 50 people accessed screening at the Fife Mela and Cultural Carnival. 10 were referred on for further treatment.

The Keep Well staffs were also present at the Fife Elder’s Culture Event. Diabetes Managed Clinical Network and FRAE Fife are also working towards improving access to Diabetes care for the Black and Minority Ethnic Communities in Fife. Winning By Losing weight management programme is ongoing in Dunfermline for the South Asian women’s group.Urdu DVD for Carer Information is complete and work has begun on a Polish and a Cantonese version.
