CARF - Discrimination Case Work

DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE BEEN RACIALLY DISCRIMINATED AGAINST?

If the answer to this question is yes, you have the right to complain.

Citizens Advice and Rights Fife (CARF) provides information and timely advice to Ethnic Minority communities and individuals on their rights under the Race Relation Act 1976 (Amendment Act 2000) in relation to racial discrimination on employment and non employment issues.

Funding for this project comes from getting results funding through the Commission for Racial Equality and we want to raise awareness among Ethnic Minority communities about the work we provide in various locations throughout Fife.

During the last year we assisted people with race discrimination issues surrounding the right to recruitment and promotion, redundancy issues, entitlement to the minimum wage to name but a few.

Our team of experienced advisers can provide free, confidential, impartial and independent high quality advice on racial discrimination issues including preparation of witness statements and representation at tribunal.

We are available to provide talks/presentations to ethnic minority groups throughout Fife to raise awareness of race discrimination issues. We work closely with other voluntary groups and statutory agencies.

In addition to discrimination work our service also provides information, advice and representation on other topics. We can, for example, assist you with help regarding money concerns, housing, consumer, welfare benefits and other employment issues.

If you or any member of your community group think they have a complaint, of racial discrimination directly or indirectly at work, school/college or with housing services, medical treatment, please contact us.
