Chantal Mrimi Book Launch

Chantal Mrimi Book Launch

On Friday 9th March, the launch took place of Chantal Mrimi's book "The Journey of My Life from Rwanda" in Rothes Halls, Glenrothes. The event was extremely well attended with an audience in excess of 150 people, drawn from at least a dozen different nationalities. The evening was organised and hosted by Tecla Wight, Development Worker from FRAE Fife, with key addresses delivered by Dr Iain Whyte, a former University Chaplain, occasional lecturer at both the University of St. Andrews and the University of Edinburgh and author on slavery, and Christine May, MSP for Central Fife, who both discussed different aspects of the content and context of the book. Chantal herself said that authoring the book had given her a desire to pursue campaigning issues, concerned with poverty and justice, principally in Africa.

Her book is available for perusal and purchase from Amazon (www.amazon.co.uk) - click here - and AuthorHouse (www.authorhouse.co.uk) - click here.

Her website is accessible on chantalmrimi.net and her e-mail address is cmrimi@yahoo.co.uk.
